Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are already out or will be out on Indian OTT platforms today.
Aar Ya Paar (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
Created by Sidharth Sengupta, the action-drama series follows the story of an underdog and brave archer named Sarju, who transforms into a deadly assassin and makes it his mission to save his tribe from the corrupt and powerful elements of the modern world.
Drishyam 2 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video – Rent)
Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, the story takes place around seven years after the incredible events of the first film. The basic plot revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar’s (Ajay Devgn) family, who is still living under the fear of the impending consequences of the police investigation for the senior cop’s (Tabu) missing son. When the investigation comes back again to haunt his family and with a new cop (Akshaye Khanna) on his trail, the protagonist tries to deal with the situation with his sharp intellect to protect his family once again.
Directed by Mathukutty Xavier, the survival thriller movie’s story follows a nursing graduate Mili (played by Janhvi Kapoor), who works part-time in a restaurant. One night, she gets accidentally locked inside the restaurant’s freezer room. How her body begins to break down in the freezing cold and her desperate attempts to survive against all odds forms the film’s basic plot.
The Glory (Streaming on Netflix)
The eight-part South Korean series is about a woman, who hatches an elaborate plan to exact revenge from her childhood bullies who destroyed her life.
Rocket Gang (Streaming on Zee5)
Directed by Bosco Martis, the dance-based horror movie revolves around five friends who go on a vacation but soon they begin to experience some strange experiences. Now these friends must participate in a dance competition in order for the sake of the spirits of five kids.
White Noise (Streaming on Netflix)
Helmed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Noah Baumbach, the comedy drama movie is based on Don DeLillo’s 1985 novel of the same name. The underlying story revolves around an American family and how they deal with an air contamination incident which happens in their area.
DSP (Streaming on Netflix, Sun NXT)
The revenge drama movie features Vijay Sethupathy in the role of a flower seller’s son and a cop Vascodagama, who locks horns with the henchman Mutta Ravo (Prabakar) of a powerful politician. Vascodagama is forced to leave the town after that, but later the protagonist returns as the DSP to finish his fight with the ruthless antagonist.
Wildcat (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The documentary film follows a young British soldier who is suffering from depression and how he meets a wildlife rescuer in the Amazon rainforest. He finds a new meaning in his life after he takes up the responsibility of taking care of a baby ocelot (medium sized wild cat).
Udanpaal (Streaming on Aha Video)
Helmed by Karthik Seenivasam, the family drama movie is about how a scheming brother and his sister plan to get rid of their father for their selfish financial motives. But their father has some other plan of his own.
Alpha Males (Streaming on Netflix)
The Spanish comedy series follows the story of four friends named Pedro, Luis, Raúl and Santi, who must try to deal and adjust with the new women-empowered world they were not used to earlier. But will they be able to do that?
Secrets of Summer Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix)
The Argentinian series follows a champion wakeboarder named Steffi, who travels to take part in a wakeboarding competition in a far-off Argentinian resort Cielo Grande, where family secrets are waiting to be discovered.
