Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are already out or will be out on Indian OTT platforms today.

Attack (Streaming on Zee5)

Helmed by Lakshya Raj Anand in his feature film directorial debut, the movie features John Abraham in the role of an Army man Arjun Shergill, who suffers a brutal injury after a terrorist attack which also kills his lover. Later, the hopeless hero gets the chance of a lifetime when he is offered to enlist for a government program that would transform him to become India’s first cybertronic humanoid super soldier to fight terrorists.

Stranger Things Season 4 (Streaming on Netflix)

The fourth season of the sci-fi horror series would follow the aftereffects of the devastating Battle of Starcourt at the Hawkins town in Indiana. The show’s young protagonists are now living separately and trying to move on in their lives. At this juncture, a long-buried, supernatural threat that connects everything, emerges on Earth and the Upside Down. The fourth season will be released in two parts. First volume comprising seven episodes will stream from 27th May while the second volume with two episodes will come out on 1st July.

Writer – Telugu Dub (Streaming on Aha Video)

The crime thriller film has been helmed by Franklin Jacob in his directorial debut. The film’s plotline revolves around the titular protagonist – a desk-bound veteran policeman named Thangaraj (played by Samuthirakani), who is about to retire from service. Things soon take an interesting turn when the cop gets reluctantly involved in an illegal custody case of a young Ph.D. student.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

The six-part show’s story is set ten years after ‘Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith’. Ewan McGregor reprises his role as the titular Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who now lives under a solitary existence, in exile, on the deserted Tatooine planet. The warrior must get over his defeat after Anakin Skywalker went on a dark path as the formidable antagonist Darth Vader.

Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi (Streaming on SonyLIV)

The series revolves around the titular protagonist Nirmal Pathak (played by Vaibhav Tatwawadi), who returns to his village from his big city life. He learns that the people there still possess an orthodox set of beliefs. Now, it is up to him to decide whether to ignore and carry on with his urban life or take the initiative and tackle several social injustices that still exist in his native place.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 (Non-Rent Streaming on Amazon Prime Video – TBA)

It’s the second installment of Prashanth Neel’s 2018 directorial film K.G.F: Chapter 1’. Kannada star Yash reprises his role as the top-notch assassin Rocky who masqueraded as a laborer in the titular Kolar Gold Fields in the first film. The sequel showcases Rocky’s story arc as the new KGF boss and his fight against a formidable adversary and the government. KGF-2 also features Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist Adheera, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.

Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? (Streaming on SonyLIV)

Helmed by ‘House MD’ actor Hugh Laurie, it’s a three-part miniseries based on Agatha Christie’s 1934 detective-fiction novel of the same name. The original story follows the adventures of a man named Bobby Jones, who fortuitously finds a dying man on a golf course. Bobby finds a photograph inside the dying man’s pocket. And along with his lady friend, he undertakes to solve the mystery of the dying man’s last words “Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?”.

Seththumaan (Streaming on SonyLIV)

Directed by Thamiz and backed by Pa Ranjith, the film revolves around the relationship between an old basket seller named Poochiyappa and his orphaned grandson Kumaresan. Poochiyappa’s landlord asks him to get the titular pig after which he must escape the wrath of the upper-class fight.

Heropanti 2 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

The romantic action movie has been helmed by Ahmed Khan and features Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Tara Sutaria. The plot revolves around a man named RJ who lives in the UK and works as a bouncer in a nightclub. His employer Inaaya mistakes RJ to be her long-lost lover, Babloo. And Inaaya is the sister of cybercriminal Laila, who wants RJ dead.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the romantic dramedy film features Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha in the lead roles. The story revolves around the character of Rambo, who lives a dual life as a cab driver and a bouncer. Things take an interesting turn when he simultaneously falls in love with two women Khatija and Kanmani and he must make a choice between the two.

Delhi Khabbar (Streaming on MX Player)

The series revolves around a group of fun-loving college friends who are having a good time on their college campus. But soon their carefree lives take a drastic turn when they are implicated in a murder case. The mystery about who is the real killer forms the rest of the show’s plot.

Emergency (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

The comedy-drama movie follows the misadventures of two close friends Kunle and Sean who are excited for a night of party-hopping. However, their plan takes a backseat when they find an unknown young white female in their apartment in a semi-conscious state. Their roommate Carlos does not know anything about it. Now, they must decide whether to call the cops or take the girl somewhere safe.
