Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are already out or will be out on Indian OTT platforms today.
Gaslight (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The whodunnit mystery thriller movie features Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, and Chitrangda Singh in the lead roles. Directed by Pavan Kriplani (Ragini MMS, Bhoot Police), the film’s plot revolves around a paraplegic woman, who visits her ancestral home and must unearth the mystery behind her estranged father’s death.
Tetris (Streaming on Apple TV Plus)
Based on an incredible true story, the cold-war period thriller movie is about how video game salesman (Taron Egerton) discovers Tetris in 1988 and teams up with a Soviet-born game designer to bring the cult game to the masses.
Faraaz (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film takes place over a period of one fateful night where the titular protagonist Faraaz (played by Zahan Kapoor) is taken hostage during a terrorist attack in a Dhaka café.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video – Rent)
Guy Ritchie’s action comedy movie follows a world-class spy Orson Fortune (Jason Statham) and his team of highly skilled operatives, who recruit a Hollywood star (Josh Harnett) to stop a dangerous deal from being executed by a big-shot arms dealer (Hugh Grant).
Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat (Streaming on Netflix)
Helmed by Anurag Kashyap, the movie narrates two different stories set in Dalhousie and London, respectively. In one story, a school going girl Amrita (Alaya F) falls in love with an aimless man Yaqub (Karan Mehta). In another story, a Pakistani woman Ayesha (Alaya F) is immensely fond of a DJ. And both these parallel stories have a common connection – DJ Mohabbat (Vicky Kaushal).
Murder Mystery 2 (Streaming on Netflix)
The ‘Murder Mystery’ sequel takes place after the events shown in the first film. Full time detectives Nick and Audrey Spitz (played by Adam Sandler & Jennifer Aniston) get a high-profile case after their super rich friend Maharaja gets kidnapped for ransom from his own wedding.
Agilan (Streaming on Zee5)
The action-drama movie features Jayam Ravi as the titular protagonist Agilan, a crane operator who gets involved in illegal trade activities, much to the chagrin of a rival gangster and a relentless cop on his pursuit.
The Power (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Based on Naomi Alderman’s award-winning novel of the same name, the sci-fi thriller series is about how all the teenage girls across the globe develop a unique ability to electrocute people at will.
Ayothi (Streaming on Zee5)
The Tamil language drama movie revolves around the story of an Ayodhya-based family comprising four members and their journey to Rameswaram. But the goings-on take a drastic turn when an unfortunate incident happens, and they are struck in a hapless situation.
Kill Boksoon (Streaming on Netflix)
The Korean action thriller movie follows a proficient assassin who finds it hard to be a single mother to her teenage daughter.
United Kacche (Streaming on Zee5)
The eight-part dramedy series features Sunil Grover as the titular protagonist Tango, who fulfils his dream of relocating from Punjab to London, albeit as an illegal immigrant aka Kaccha. After reaching there, he learns that life away from home is not as rosy as he had imagined.
