Gulmohar (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The family drama movie revolves around the last four days spent by the Delhi-based Batra family in their 34-year-old home and around the relationships amongst the family members. Directed by Rahul V. Chittella, the film features Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Bajpayee, Amol Palekar, and Suraj Sharma.
Iratta (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Rohit MG Krishnan, the drama thriller movie focuses on the story of the identical twins and cops Vinod and Pramod (played by Joju George). When one of the twins dies under mysterious circumstances, the other one sets out to unearth the mystery during the police investigation which is conducted overnight.
The Great Indian Kitchen (Streaming on Zee5)
In this Tamil remake of the Malayalam film of the same name, Aishwarya Rajesh features as a housewife and how she tries to cope and struggles in her husband’s (Rahul Ravindran) home which suffers from a traditional mindset.
Taj: Divided By Love (Streaming on Zee5)
The period drama series revolves around the 16th Century Mughal Emperor Akbar (Naseeruddin Shah), and the ruthless battle of power behind the succession to the throne, which sparks a war among his three sons Salim, Murad, and Daniyal. It also features veteran actor Dharmendra Salim Chisti and Aditi Rao Hydari as Anarkali.
Alone (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
Helmed by Shaji Kailas, the thriller movie revolves around a character named Kalidas (played by Mohanlal), who gets stranded in the pandemic induced lockdown while he is on the way from Coimbatore to Kerala.
Thalaikoothal (Streaming on Netflix)
Set in Tamil Nadu, the film follows a man named Pazhani, who sincerely looks after his bed-ridden, comatose father. But when his family suggests euthanasia as an option, the protagonist must take a tough decision.
Daisy Jones & The Six (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book of the same name, the series focuses on why the members of the legendary and popular 70s band parted ways despite their superhit show.
