Por Thozhil (Streaming on SonyLIV)
The film follows the story of an academically brilliant but weak hearted crime branch trainee Prakash (Ashok Selvan), who must work under the mentorship of a senior cop Loganathan (Sarath Kumar). The rookie cop must overcome his weaknesses and team up with his senior to solve a mysterious murder case where a psychopath killer is on the loose.
The Fabelmans (Streaming on SonyLIV)
Helmed by Steven Spielberg, the movie is a semi-autobiographical account of the Oscar winning veteran filmmaker. The film showcases an aspiring filmmaker’s growing up days in Arizona and how the magic of films helps him deal with familial relationships and its truth.
Adipurush (Streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video)
Helmed by Om Raut, the mythological action movie is an adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana and features Prabhas (as Adipurush / Lord Ram), Saif Ali Khan (as Lankesh / Ravana), and Kriti Sanon (as Janaki / Goddess Sita).
Heart of Stone (Streaming on Netflix)
The spy thriller movie features Gal Gadot as an intelligence operative named Rachel Stone, who undertakes a deadly mission to prevent a hacker from getting hold of a dangerous weapon. The movie also features Indian actress Alia Bhatt and Jamie Dornan in pivotal roles.
The Kashmir Files: Unreported (Streaming on Zee5)
It’s being described as a docuseries which will narrate the untold stories of Kashmir’s tragic history and would speak about the harsh unspoken realities of free India’s biggest tragedy. It would ostensibly focus on the events which led to the 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and Article 370’s abrogation, etc.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (Streaming on Jio Cinema)
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the romantic comedy movie revolves around an Indore-based regular married couple (played by Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan), who decide to get divorced in order to become eligible for a government housing scheme. But it leads to a comedy of errors with unanticipated consequences.
Commando (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s action thriller web series follows the dangerous mission undertaken by Commando Virat to bring back his fellow commando from behind the enemy lines. The show features Prem in the lead role along with Adah Sharma.
Red, White & Royal Blue (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Based on Casey McQuiston’s New York Times bestseller, the romantic drama movie revolves around the relationship between US President’s (Uma Thurman) son Alex and Britain’s Prince Henry. After an altercation, their enmity begins to shape into a possible friendship and leads to something much deeper.
Maaveeran (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Directed by Madonne Ashwin, the film features Sivakarthikeyan in the role of a reluctant hero, who decides to take on an influential politician after he begins to hear a voice.
Abar Proloy (Streaming on Zee5)
The Bengali series features ‘Kahaani’ actor Saswata Chatterjee in the role of a crime branch officer, who makes it his mission to catch the culprit behind the trafficking of young girls in the Sundarbans region.
Padmini (Streaming on Netflix)
The comedy drama movie revolves around a college professor and poet named Rameshan (played by Kunchacko Boban), whose life suddenly takes a U-turn after his would-be wife runs away with her lover on the day of their wedding. How the protagonist deals with the embarrassing situation forms the film’s crux.
Pending Train (Streaming on Netflix)
The sci-fi thriller web series follows a group of passengers travelling in a train and how they find themselves transported to a terrifying apocalyptic future where there is no food and water.
Nikhoj (Streaming on Hoichoi)
The web series features Swastika Mukherjee in the role of a loving mother and a dedicated senior cop, whose life takes a drastic turn after her own daughter goes missing and the prime suspect is Ramit Sen (played by Tota Roy Choudhury).
The Killing Vote (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The Korean thriller series revolves around a mysterious person who conducts a poll for the killing of those criminals who have escaped justice. If the survey fetches more than 50% positive results, then that person is killed by the unidentified person.
