Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are already out or will be out on Indian OTT platforms today.
Shamshera (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Set in the 1800s era in the fictitious city of Kaza, the action-adventure film revolves around a fearless dacoit tribe led by Ranbir Kapoor’s character, and how he fights against the Britishers for their independence. But to achieve that, the protagonist must defeat the ruthless villain Daroga Shuddh Singh (Sanjay Dutt).
An official adaptation of the Korean show ‘Flower of Evil’, the nine-part romantic thriller series follows the story of Samit (Gulshan Devaiah) and her cop wife Ira (Drashti Dhami). While investigating a string of murders, the wife finds out that her seemingly innocent and moral husband might be hiding his dark past.
The Northman (Streaming on BookMyShow – PPV)
Helmed by Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse) and inspired from Norse mythology, the film features Alexander Skarsgard as prince Amleth, whose father King Aurvandill (Ethan Hawke) is brutally murdered by the Amleth’s uncle, who also kidnaps his mother – Queen Gudrun (Nicole Kidman). Twenty years later, the young boy transforms into a formidable Viking warrior and is hellbent on avenging the death of his father and to get his mother and kingdom back from his uncle.
Heaven (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The mystery thriller film features Suraj Venjaramoodu in the role of a senior cop and a widower who lives with his son. But his takes a U-turn when his son is murdered along with his classmate and their family. How he investigates the mysterious case to catch the real culprit using his intelligence and experience, forms the rest of the film’s plot.
The Australian mystery thriller web series revolves around the lives of twin sisters Leni and Gina (played by Michelle Monaghan), who have been secretly living each other’s lives for a long time. But the plot takes an interesting turn when one of the twin sisters suddenly goes missing.
TamilRockerz (Streaming on SonyLIV)
The thriller web series revolves around the story of a cop named Rudhra (Arun Vijay), who makes it mission to catch a mysterious group of cyber pirates in order to prevent them from leaking big ticket theatrical movie releases.
Bairagee (Streaming on Voot Select)
The Kannada language action thriller movie follows the protagonist Shiva (played by Shivarajkumar), a Tiger Masque artist who is an ill-tempered person. After an unfortunate incident which triggers his anger, he crosses paths with a helpful cop. Later, Shiva moves to a new town, but his hidden tiger is forced to come out again when he clashes with a powerful person and stands up for what is right.
Highway (Streaming on Aha Video)
Helmed by K.V. Guhan, the psychological thriller movie revolves around a photographer named Vishnu (played by Anand Deverakonda), who is in love with a woman named Tulasi (Manasa Radhakrishnan). When a serial killer called D kidnaps Tulasa, Vishnu must find the person behind it before it’s too late.
The Next 365 Days (Streaming on Netflix)
The film is a sequel to the 2020 Polish romantic thriller ‘365 Days’ and its follow-up film ‘365 Days: This Day’. Michele Morrone and Anna-Maria Sieklucka reprise their roles as Massimo and Laura. The plot revolves around the duo’s evolving relationship while trying to overcome their trust issues.
Karagar (Streaming on Hoichoi)
The underlying premise of the web series is about a man (Chanchal Chowdhury) who mysteriously appears in a prison cell which was closed 50 years ago.
Minus One (Streaming on Lionsgate Play)
The six-part comedy drama series focuses on the relationship between the two protagonists Ria and Varun who continue to share the same roof despite breaking up their romantic relationship due to personal and professional problems.
The Girl in the Mirror (Streaming on Netflix)
The Spanish supernatural thriller series follows the story of Alma, the only survivor of a bus accident who tries to unearth the mystery behind the crash and to retain her true identity while dealing with loss of memories from her past.
The Tamil language action-drama movie focuses on the fierce enmity between PRV’s family and the Samuthiran family, which holds the former responsible for the death of one of their family members. Arun Vijay plays the role of Ravi, the youngest son of the PRV family and is also their formidable protector.
Jiivi-2 (Streaming on Aha Video)
It’s the sequel to the superhit 2019 Tamil thriller movie ‘Jiivi’. Helmed by V.J. Gopinath, the film’s story would focus on how the protagonist (played by Vetri) and his accomplice try to correct the mistakes committed by them during the parent film.
The Last Client (Streaming on BookMyShow Stream)
The Nordic thriller movie follows an eminent psychologist named Susanne, whose last client of a seemingly regular day at work turns out to be a dangerous serial killer. How she deals with the threat by using her skills forms the film’s underlying premise.
Butter (Streaming on BookMyShow Stream)
Written and directed by Paul A. Kaufman, the film revolves around the bullied, obese high school student nicknamed Butter (Alex Kersting). He begins to gain sudden attention from his schoolmates after announcing that he will eat himself to death and that too live on the Internet. What happens when Butter reaches the suicide deadline?
Kleo (Streaming on Netflix)
The eight-episode German espionage thriller series is set after the fall of the Berlin fall and revolves around a highly skilled spy who makes it her mission to learn about who betrayed her and to take fitting revenge from those responsible.
Déjà vu (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Helmed by Arvind Srinivasan, the mystery thriller movie features Arulnithi as a police officer who investigates the high profile case of the kidnapped daughter of a senior cop.
