Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are already out or will be out on Indian OTT platforms today.
She Season 2 (Streaming on Netflix)
The show’s plot revolves around a female police constable named Bhumika (played by Aaditi Pohankar), who is sent on an undercover mission to expose a drug cartel. Along the way and while dealing with her personal problems, the poor cop learns how her sexuality can be a game changer in her life.
Masoom (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The six-episode psychological thriller series is a remake of the Irish show ‘Blood’ and features Boman Irani and Samara Tijori as a father-daughter duo. The show’s story is set in Punjab and follows how the daughter wants to uncover the stark truth behind her mother’s mysterious death – a buried secret that everyone wishes to be remained hidden from her.
Suzhal: The Vortex (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Set amidst the backdrop of the grave looting festival Mayanakollia, the investigative thriller series revolves around a missing young girl in a small place in Tamil Nadu. The show features parallel plotlines of that of a woman hellbent on finding her sister, investigation by cops, and a father who is desperately trying to find his daughter. It features Aishwarya Rajesh, Kathir, R Parthipan and Sriya Reddy, amongst others.
Cha Cha Real Smooth (Streaming on Apple TV+)
The comedy drama movie features Cooper Raiff as a young graduate named Andrew, who knows how to get a party started. Matching his skills, he begins to work at a bar where he becomes friends with a young mother and her autistic daughter.
Dharmaveer (Streaming on Zee5)
Helmed by Pravin Tarde, the Marathi language biographical film is a biopic that revolves around renowned politician and late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe (played by Prasad Oak). The story is narrated from the perspective of a reporter and showcases Anand Dighe’s devotion towards the welfare of the people of Thane and his relationship with another legendary leader Balasaheb Thackeray.
Parallel Mothers (Streaming on BookMyShow)
The Oscar-nominated Spanish drama movie follows the story of two women Janis (Penelope Cruz) and Ana (Milena Smit) who meet in a hospital room. Coincidentally, both are single, had unplanned pregnancies and are about to give birth. Janis is middle-aged and excited while Ana is younger and nervous. During their conversation for a few hours before delivery, the two women form a unique bond which would affect their lives in an important way.
O2 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
Directed by GS Viknesh, the Tamil language thriller features Nayanthara as a distressed mother fighting for the survival of his ailing son with oxygen support after their bus falls into a pit and the passengers are left with just twelve hours to find a way.
Spiderhead (Streaming on Netflix)
The action-drama film has been helmed by Joseph Kosinski, whose recent directorial ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ became a huge blockbuster. The film’s plot is based on George Saunders’ short story ‘Escape from Spiderhead’ and is set in a near future prison where inmates are given a chance to reduce their sentences. They can do so by volunteering to be given mid-altering drugs under the supervision of the genius Steve Abnesti (Chris Hemsworth). The story takes a turn after an inmate named Jeff becomes the test subject for a drug which can develop feelings of love.
Feludar Goyendagiri (Streaming on Hoichoi)
Based on the character of Satyajit Ray’s iconic investigator Feluda and his story ‘Darjeeling Jomjomat’, the upcoming show has been directed by gifted filmmaker Srijit Mukherji and features Tota Roy Chowdhury in the lead role.
Fingertip Season-2 (Streaming on Zee5)
Helmed by Shivakar Srinivasan, the tech thriller revolves around the lives of six persons who are in some way affected by the digital world and how their lives intersect with each other. Some of these characters are portrayed as victims while some are the wrongdoers in a world replete with cybercrime.
The Summer I Turned Pretty (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The romantic drama series is based on the first novel of Jenny Han’s bestselling book trilogy of the same name. The plot revolves around the love triangle between Belly and her friends – the two brothers Jeremiah and Conrad while they reunite at a beach house.
Menaka Season-2 (Streaming on Manorama Max)
The show’s opening season revolved around how a team of efficient cops headed by Dy.SP Jacob Anookkaran (played by Ashwin Kumar) and they try to stop seven perfectly planned murders. Narrated in the past and the present, the new season comes with the intriguing tagline “Can a dead man solve a crime in the past?”
The Lake (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The plot follows a man named Justin (Jordan Gavaris), who returns from abroad with the intention of reconnecting with his teenage biological daughter whom he had earlier given for adoption. But the story takes an interesting turn when he discovers that his father has left their family cottage to his picture-perfect stepsister Maisy (Julia Stiles).
Recce (Streaming on Zee5)
Set in the 1990s period in Tadipatri village, the seven-part crime thriller show follows the investigation into the murder of municipal chairman Varadarajulu by senior inspector Lenin (played by Sriram).

You Don’t Know Me (Streaming on Netflix)
Based on Imran Mahmood’s novel of the same name, the four-part crime series follows the story of a young man who has been accused of a murder. With incriminating evidence indicating that he is guilty, the man narrates an incredible story during the trial. But does he stand a chance at the court, and can he prove his innocence?
