Modern Love: Hyderabad (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Inspired by the popular New York Times column, the Hyderabad chapter of the ‘Modern Love’ series will showcase six heart-warming stories based on different yet universal forms of love and is set amidst the backdrop of the titular City of Pearls – Hyderabad. The series has been directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Venkatesh Maha, Uday Gurrala and Devika Bahudhanam.
Vikram (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the star-studded action entertainer ‘Vikram’ features the terrific trio of Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil alongside Suriya in a special cameo. Kamal Haasan has essayed the titular character of a black ops cop named Vikram, who is given the mission to nab a group of masked criminals.
Ranveer Vs Wild With Bear Grylls (Streaming on Netflix)
The interactive special features popular Indian actor Ranveer Singh alongside globally acclaimed daredevil adventurer Bear Grylls where viewers will be able to click through it and help the duo who are in the harsh Serbian wilderness with a mission to find a rare flower.
Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt. Ltd (Streaming on Zee5)
The six-part show features Amruta Subhash as a woman named Suman and her earnest endeavours to start a pickle business in order to get her kids back from her former husband, Dilip (Anup Soni) and to be financially self-reliant. The story follows her arduous and inspiring entrepreneurial journey with support from her mother-in-law (Yamini Das).
This Much I Know to be True (Streaming on Mubi)
Helmed by Andrew Dominik, the music-based documentary film showcases the creative relationship between the two Australian musicians Nick Cave and Warren Ellis and focuses on their last two studio albums namely Ghosteen and Carnage.
Boo, Bitch (Streaming on Netflix)
The eight-part comedy series revolves around a high school senior whom not many people are even aware of her existence in the school. One night, she decides to change her situation, but she eventually learns about a startling fact about herself.
Incantation (Streaming on Netflix)
Being touted as the most horrifying Taiwanese horror movie and directed by Kevin Ko, the critically acclaimed film has been narrated through hand-held technique. The film’s plot revolves around a mother who is desperately trying to save her daughter from an evil curse which was started by her.
Who is Ghislaine Maxwell? (Streaming on Lionsgate Play)
The three-episode documentary series is based on the life of Ghislaine Maxwell, the Oxford-educated daughter of the infamous media tycoon Robert Maxwell. The series showcases the life of the former British socialite and how she met predator Jeffrey Epstein in New York and helped him in sex trafficking activities.
The Sea Beast (Streaming on Netflix)
The animated adventure movie revolves around a girl named Masie Brumble (Zaris-Angel Hator) who stows away on the ship of the legendary sea monster hunter Jacob Holland (Karl Urban) from whom she learns the tricks of the trade.
It’s a campus comedy romantic movie which features Asif Ali as the titular character Kunjeldho, who falls in love with his classmate Niveditha (Gopika Udayan). The goings-on take a turn when the girl gets pregnant.
Indira (Streaming on Voot Select)
Helmed by Rishikesh, it’s a psychological thriller movie that revolves around a visually impaired woman (played by Anita Bhat). She suffers from memory loss after an unfortunate incident and is mourning the loss of her husband. But there is more to the story than meets the eye.
The Wonderful Summer of Mickey Mouse (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The third animated special of the second season of ‘The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse’ revolves around the amusing adventures of Mickey Mouse and his friends as they remember the crazy events that led up to the Annual Summer Fireworks Spectacular from their perspective.
Dangerous Liaisons (Streaming on Netflix)
Adapted from the 1782 book of the same name by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, the French romantic drama movie follows a young woman named Celene, who enlists for a premium school in Paris. There, she gets attracted to the popular boy Tristan. However, she is not in the know that she has been made part of a bet between Tristan and social media influencer Vanessa.
Kaiser (Streaming on Hoichoi)
Directed by Tanim Noor, the mystery thriller show follows a homicide detective from Dhaka – Kaiser (Afran Nisho) who is scared of blood and is addicted to video games, but he is a gifted investigator. The plot focuses on a double murder case that he must solve.
The Longest Night (Streaming on Netflix)
The six-episode Spanish language series revolves around a psychiatric prison facility which gets surrounded by armed persons who intend to capture a dangerous serial killer. However, their plan meets resistance from the prison warden.
Black Bird (Streaming on Apple TV+)
Inspired by true events, the psychological drama series narrates the story of an imprisoned football star Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton) who tries to delve into the complex mind of a suspected serial killer Larry Hall (Paul Walter Hauser) for a chance for his freedom from captivity.
