The official trailer for ‘Ratha Saatchi‘ is out now. It is a movie based on the book ‘Kaithigal’ written by eminent writer Jeyamohan. Jeyamohan is known for writing the stories of films like ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ and also the dialogues of Maniratnam’s masterpiece Ponnyin Selvan. The music of the film js composed by Javed Riaz and the cinematography is handled by Jagadheesh Ravi. It features actors like Kanna Ravi, Harish Kumar, Kalyan Master, Madras Charles, Elango Kumaravel andamy others.
Writer Jeyamohan has said the the story of the making of the movie deserves to be made intl another movie, because after Rafiq Ismail approached him for the right to adapt the book into a film, he was approached by ace directors like Maniratnam and Vetri Maaran for the rights. It looks like the movie revolves around the stories of many unsung heroes like Medha Patekar, Charu Majumdar, Lenin Raghuvanshi, Rajendra Singh, Lakshmi Aggarwal and many more.
The trailer looks good with comforting visuals, good music and editing and the movie has a raw, wild and real vibe to it. Ratha Saatchi is directed by Rafiq Ismail and produced by Aha Tamil and Magizh Mandram. When the first look of the film was released, there were symbols of communism like the hammer and the sickle flaunted with pride, a book by Karl Marx and the title of the film written on the handwriting of Kamal Hassan. It is drawing some controversy too for being a communism charged movie and for defending the naxals.
The movie will directly release on the 9th of December on Aha Tamil. Make sure to watch it with your friends and family if you want to a grand tale of struggle for rights of the common man.
