Anand Deverakonda’s Second film, Middle Class Melodies is going to skip its theatrical release and will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The movie’s Digital Premiere will happen on the 20th of this month. The makers have released the trailer a short while ago.
It is the story of Raghava (Anand Deverakonda) who is a Bombay Chutney Specialist in his father’s hotel. Raghava aspires to become big coming out of the shadow of his pesky father by starting his own hotel in Guntur. When he finally manages it somehow, his misfortunes get doubled due to bad business. Then, there is the female lead (Varsha Bollamma) who wants to be independent by doing a job but her father wants to get married. Besides the struggle in the business, it is the story of a guy and girl who wants to be independent but suffer due to their fathers.
The movie seems to be banking on the comedy generated due to the struggles of an underdog who wants to rise above all the adverse conditions. The premise is promising and the trailer looks fine. Let us see if Middle Class Melodies can be the first OTT hit for Amazon Prime Video. Anand’s first film, Dorasani failed at the box office. He is pinning all his hopes on this film to make an impression on the audience.
