Mane Number 13 was one of a series of films announced by Amazon Prime a while back. The Kannada language horror flick has been directed by Vivy Kathiresan, while it is produced by Krishna Chaitanya. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the movie’s release was postponed and eventually, it was picked up by Prime Video. Mane Number 13 stars :- Varsha Bollamma, Ramana, Sanjeiv, Praveen Prem, Aiswarya Gowda, Chetan Gandharwa, Sathvika Appaiah.
Now finally Amazon Prime Video has released an official trailer for the movie and by the looks of it, Mane Number 13 might actually provide a good amount of thrill to the viewers.
The trailer starts off with 5 friends who are IT professional, working together. They also have lived together for a long time and continue to do so. With their lives going smoothly without any major issues, an incident changes the case forever.
One night after a party they are driving through the forest and suddenly a girl comes in front of the car out of nowhere and disappears. All of them flustered with the event fresh in their mind move to a new house. But something is not right with the house feels everyone.
The 5 of them start to feel a regular presence of someone other than them continuously following them, surveying them, scaring them. With jump scares and music, the trailer tries to invoke an emotion of horror inside the viewers mind and succeeds sometimes. Eventually, they get numbered out after regular killings of one member at a time by something unknown.
This creates a sense of belief that the murderer is among them and turns them against each other. While several montages of the characters going against each other with knives and stabbing each other makes the situation more tense in the trailer. Continuous shots at the clock suggest a supernatural angle to the story with the use of shadows and ghostly makeup over the characters strongly points at that.
A certain possibility of someone among them being the killer is out in the open, but what if they are being controlled by a supernatural entity looking for revenge against the group? Well for that we’ll have to watch the movie.
Mane Number 13 will be releasing on Amazon Prime Video on November 26th 2020.
