Shootout at Alair is the forthcoming web series of Zee5 which is based on a real incident that happened in the Old City of Hyderabad. The trailer of the film is released a little while ago and the story has its premise about the Mecca Masjid Bomb blasts of Hyderabad in 2007.
An anti-social element, Akthar makes it a pattern to kill Hindu police every year on the anniversary of the blasts. While the police think they eliminated him, the killings continue. Is Akthar alive or someone has taken over his revenge? is the rest of the story. The makers have declared that their web series is based on the case files. There were many films in the backdrop of Terror attacks but this is set in a Revenge for a Terror attack and an encounter that follows. The point sounds novel and going by the visuals, it is all about blood, gore, and guns. There are a couple of obscene shots as well in the trailer. Prakash Raj and Srikanth were seen as cops spearheading Operation Akthar and Nandini Rai is seen as a Muslim girl.
The trailer looks a tad strenuous but the premise looks promising. It has to be seen if the eight episodes web series will be another winner for Zee5. Shootout at Alair is going to be premiered on December 25th as Christmas Special. Telugu Director Anand Ranga directs the web series which marks the production debut of Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmitha and her husband, Vishnu Prasad.
