Paramount has unveiled the official trailer of Transformers One, Josh Cooley’s animated film which features the voices of Chris Hemsworth (Orion Pax/Optimus Prime), Brian Tyree Henry (D-16/Megatron), Scarlett Johansson (Elita-1), and Keegan-Michael Key (B-127/Bumblebee).
The latest trailer of Transformers One focuses on the origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, back when they were known as Orion Pax and D-16, respectively. Once considered “brothers-in-arms”, now Prime and Megatron are archenemies of each other.
In addition, the clip shows Alpha Trion (voiced by Lawrence Fishburne) bestowing all four Transformers new powers which aids them in unlocking their full potential, including their ability to ‘Transform’.
The upcoming animated Transformers project also has Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime and Steve Buscemi in an undisclosed role.
Transformers One serves as the eighth feature entry to the Transformers film franchise. The last entry, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023), turned out to be a commercial failure, managing to gross nearly $439 million against its mammoth $200 million budget.
Transformers One is helmed by Josh Cooley, who is best known for directing the critically acclaimed Toy Story 4 (2019). The film will arrive in theatres worldwide on September 20, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates. Check out the trailer below!
