M. Night Shyamalan’s much anticipated concert thriller ‘Trap’ is now out in the theaters and fans are loving it. The movie is accepted with rave reviews and some believe it to be one of the best directions in the filmmakers whole career.
Audience members have been reacting to the movie on social media and almost all the posts are positive. They also reckon that it is high time we recognize Shyamalan as one of the contemporary masters of the craft.
‘Trap’ tells the story of a serial killer who takes his daughter to a pop concert and realizes that it is actually a trap by the FBI to catch a serial killer, which is himself. Some fans are regarding this movie as one of the most personal works of the director, dealing with ‘the trials of fatherhood in extremis’. While most people agree that ‘Trap’ is the best work from Shyamalan in recent times, there are some who are not so willing to tag his recent movies as bad. An X user has posted, “I keep hearing people say “M. Night is finally back” regarding TRAP. THE VISIT, SPLIT, OLD, and KNOCK AT THE CABIN have all been a tremendous return to form. It’s finally time to just accept M. Night Shyamalan has been back.”
The movie is said by audiences to be a perfect blend of humour and tension. When Hollywood projects seem to be dealing with the same clichés again and again Shyamalan comes up with an idea so original and it is for this that fans appreciate him more.
