The Batman (Streaming on Netflix from Sunday)
Helmed by Matt Reeves and set during the second year of Batman’s crime-fighting endeavors, the superhero flick stars Robert Pattinson as the billionaire masked vigilante and protector of Gotham City. When the city’s privileged class begins to become the victims of a ruthless serial killer Riddler (Paul Dano), Batman must decipher the clues left behind by the killer and unearth the corruption in Gotham City. The film also features Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Penguin.
Elvis (Streaming on Netflix from Sunday)
Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the movie revolves around the life of the ‘King of Rock and Roll’ Elvis Presley (played by Austin Butler). It’s narrated from the perspective of Elvis Presley’s complicated relationship with his manager Colonel Tom Parker (played by Tom Hanks) over a period of two decades. It showcases Elvis Presley’s journey from his early years to becoming an internationally renowned pop star.
The Matrix Resurrections (Streaming on Netflix from Sunday)
It’s the fourth part of the Matrix film series which has been directed by Lana Wachowski. In the sequel set six decades after the events of Matrix Revolutions, Keanu Reeves reprises his role as the protagonist Neo. He is portrayed as Mr. Andreson, a video game creator who must get out of a more refined version of the Matrix and fight to rescue Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss). The film also features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
