Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Jalsa’, ‘Salute’ ‘Bloody Brothers’, ‘Apharan Season 2’, and ‘Lalitham Sundaram’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have collated a list of the top three Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
83 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix from 21st March)
The film is about the Indian cricket team’s historic victory at the 1983 cricket world cup. Ranveer Singh essays the role of the Indian cricket team’s legendary captain Kapil Dev, and the film portrays his and his teammates’ incredible journey from being an underdog team to lifting the world cup by beating the formidable West Indians at the Lords Cricket Ground on 25th June 1983.
Bheemla Nayak (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, Aha Video from 25th March)
Saagar K. Chandra’s Telugu actioner ‘Bheemla Nayak’ features Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles of the titular police officer and a former Army Havaldar named Daniel Shekar, respectively. The story revolves around the battle of ego between the two after Bheelma Nayak arrests Danny for possessing liquor against the rules while crossing the Telangana-Andhra Pradesh border.
Valimai (Streaming on Zee5 from 25th March)
Written and directed by H Vinoth, the film features eminent actor Ajith Kumar in the lead role alongside Huma Qureshi and Kartikeya in important roles. Ajith Kumar essays the role of a police officer named Arjun Kumar and the film’s story revolves around how the protagonist makes it his mission to bring to justice an illegal gang of bikers responsible for violent criminal activities.
