Tusshar Kapoor has revealed the release date and a new motion poster for his upcoming film ‘Maarrich’. Helmed by first time director Dhruv Lather, ‘Maarrich’ will release in cinemas on 9th December, 2022.
‘Maarrich’ is touted to be a whodunnit thriller and the film’s name takes inspiration from the demon of the same name who finds mention in Ramayana. He is the very demon who assumed the form of a golden deer and helped Ravana kidnap Sita.
The motion poster revealing the release date for ‘Maarrich’ tells about a man searching for a devil in a world where people search for God. It also says how one is caught up in the world of mama Maarrich.
After Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Laxmii’ that premiered on Disney+ Hotstar, ‘Maarrich’ is Tusshar Kapoor’s second production venture. It is also his first film as a producer to hit the theatres.
Well known for his recurring role in the ‘Golmaal’ franchise, Tusshar Kapoor was last seen on the big screen in 2017 in ‘Golmaal Again’. It is after a five year long gap that the actor is returning to the big screen in a pivotal role and this time with an intense thriller.
Written and directed by Dhruv Lather, ‘Maarrich’ stars Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles. The film is produced by Tusshar Kapoor, Narendra Hirawat and Shreyans Hirawat under their Tusshar Entertainment House and NH Studioz banners. Girish Johar and Priyank V Jain serve as the co-producers.
Vishal Mishra and Amaal Malik have composed the music for ‘Maarrich’. Set to release in theatres on 9th December, 2022 ‘Maarrich’ trailer will be out soon.
