The Viral Fever’s Amazon Prime Video Original series “Hostel Daze” has earned its set of fans. The premiere date announcement for Hostel Daze Season 2, therefore, gladdened the hearts of fans of the show. However, even as they wait for Hostel Daze Season 2 to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, a number of viewers may not know that there’s major heartbreak attached with the return of the show.
Very few people know this, but the fact is that The Viral Fever, aka TVF, underwent a sea change between Hostel Daze Season 1 and Hostel Daze Season 2. There was a major falling out between the core members of the team, after which key players such as Sameer Saxena, Raghav Subbu, Biswapati Sarkar, Nidhi Bisht and Saurabh Khanna walked out of TVF. To clarify, Sameer Saxena, Raghav Subbu and Saurabh Khanna were the driving forces behind some of the major and recent successes of TVF, namely Yeh Meri Family, Kota Factory, and yes, Hostel Daze.
Sadly, though the aforementioned stalwarts created these well-loved shows, they will not be around for the new seasons of any of them – not for Hostel Daze Season 2, and certainly not for Kota Factory Season 2. It remains to be seen whether these shows will suffer from the absence of the former TVF team. While there’s still time for Kota Factory Season 2 to arrive on Netflix, we’ll know soon enough, coz Hostel Daze Season 2 is slated to drop on Amazon Prime Video in ten days time, that is on 23rd July.
Hostel Daze Season 2 sees the return of its original stars — Nikhil Vijay as ‘Jhantoo’, aka Jatin, Shubham Gaur as ‘Bhasins Buddhi’, aka Rupesh Bhati, Adarsh Gaurav as ‘Dopa’, aka Ankit Pandey, Luv Vispute as ‘Genius’, aka Chirag Bansal. It also stars Ahsaas Channa and Ayushi Gupta in prominent roles.
The Hostel Daze Season 2 trailer drops tomorrow. Meanwhile, check out the teaser of the show here –
