The latest trend in the world of streaming entertainment is the increasing focus of streaming platforms on acquiring post-theatrical streaming rights of buzzy films. Every streaming platform has fewer and fewer original films and shows coming up for release.
On the contrary, all streamers have more and more post-theatrical films up for release every week. The rule stays for biggies like Netflix, Disney Plus Hotstar, Prime Video, ZEE5 and SonyLIV, as well as platforms such as Aha Video and Voot Select.
Twelve Indian films will stream on Indian OTT platforms in the next two weeks. Several of these are direct to digital releases, while a few are arriving on various streaming platforms after a run at the theatres. More films will no doubt be announced in the coming days. Until then, bookmark this list and refer to it to find out which film is streaming on which platform, and when.
