Prime Video has improved tremendously in terms of the user interface. Although the feel remains the same, there are multiple minute changes. But there is something huge that is yet to catch the attention of the developers working on the Prime Video app.
Because the issue arises right from searching for a movie. The search engine of the platform is so bad that it fails to search for movies. We noticed this issue in Gali Guleiyan, Iravin Nizhal, Ponniyin Selvan, and very recently in Kantara too. Thus, it is more than a one-time glitch, it is a persistent issue that the platform is simply not working upon.
We observed that after searching Kantara the platform was giving suggestions that have got nothing to do with it. This is really frustrating for users who are simply trying to look for a movie.
The next big issue arises when we try to help out with the link. If you notice then Binged with a lot of other handles paste links of any movie/series on social media for easy finding. It works well with all other platforms but never with Prime Video. The link redirects to a Twitter-sourced web page instead of “Prime Video App” which is already installed on the device.
So you can’t find a movie in search and you also can’t use the link. It is insanely annoying and needs immediate attention from the developers.
