Two Malayalam movies are expected to be released on the Over-the-top platform this week. ‘Thalavan’ and ‘Nunakuzhi’ are the two awaited flicks by the audience after their great positive response from the previous month’s theatre release.
‘Thalavan’ is directed by Jis Joy and jointly produced by Arun Narayanan and Sijo Sebastian for London Studios. The genre is that of crime thriller in nature and will feature actors Biju Menon and Asif Ali in lead roles and actors Miya George, Anusree, Dileesh Pothan, and Kottayam Nazeer in supporting roles respectively. Theatrically released on the 24th of May, it had several ‘wow’ factors like solid screenplay, unexpected style of direction, and splendid performances from lead actors. The technical labour like cinematography and editing was well-praised.
As a convincing investigation thriller is missing recently in Malayalam cinema, the movie’s release on the 10th of September might give satisfaction to the audience. The movie will be streaming on ‘Sony LIV’ and thus claim its OTT Rights.
‘Nunakuzhi’ is a Jeethu Joseph directorial flick, who is popular for his ‘Drishyam’ franchise, approached his unusual way of presenting a comedy-thriller drama which was a theatrical success last month. The audience had mixed reviews of the humour and seriousness of the storyline. The movie is produced by Saregama India Pvt. Ltd. And features actors Basil Joseph, Grace Antony, and Siddique in the lead roles alongside Manoj K Jayan, Binu Pappu, Baju Santhosh, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, and Althaf Salim in supporting roles.
The movie is expected to move like an entertainer with exceptional performances by Basil Joseph, Grace Antony, and Baiju Santhosh. The movie will be released on the 13th of September and ZEE 5 claims its OTT rights.
