Formula One World Championship is one of the grandest, most expensive, and most popular sports championships in the world. Although it is very niche based, it manages to woo a large section of society who identify themselves as automobile enthusiasts.
Up until last year, Disney+Hotstar used to host the streaming of the grand sports event. But things have changed and not in a very positive manner. You must be aware that things are not going great for Disney+Hotstar. They lost the streaming rights of IPL, they are also going to lose the hosting of all those mammoth HBO shows.
Now, it is the chance for the Formula One World Championship. The streaming rights have shifted to F1 TV which is extremely expensive in the context of the Indian market.
This change has disappointed the users and they are stamping it out at Disney+Hotstar. But, it might just be the internal decision of F1 to keep the streaming rights only to themselves.
Whatever the situation may be, the problem lies in keeping the trust of the audience stuck to Disney+Hotstar. They single-handedly dominate the Indian OTT and to keep that dominance alive, some major steps need to be taken. Let’s see how Disney+Hotstar does that.
Just found out that #F12023 won’t be streaming on @DisneyPlusHS 🙄
wondering what to do with that subscription now, only #cricket in #India although excluding #IPL besides other occasionally good content 🥺
and no way I’m signing up for 3x costlier @F1 TV subscription either 🤷🏻♂️— Milind M Tapaswi (@milindtapaswi) February 26, 2023
So, @DisneyPlusHS has decided not to broadcast #F1 from this year in India. The one satisfying thing for an F1 fan in India. Now i need to pay subscription for F1tv pro #india #F12023 #Formula1 pic.twitter.com/EYJI7EElCp

Hey @DisneyPlusHS Can you confirm that you are going to broadcast #F1 in India or not?
My subscription is going to end. I need to know that either you are going to broadcast it or I will have to choose #F1TVpro.
Can you help me with it?#DisneyPlusHotstar— Aadil farooqui (@aadil_farooqui) February 26, 2023
