Streaming platforms were once loved because they gave us a break from television ads. It was one of the features that sold them over television. But now, things are changing, and not in a good way. Prime Video following MX Player have started showing ads, and it’s upsetting a lot of viewers. What’s even more frustrating is that people are paying for these services and still getting bombarded with ads.
Many users are clearly unhappy. Some have already stopped using MX Player, saying that they have to sit through over half an hour of ads in a one-hour time. Now, that is just an exaggerated complaint, but you can understand their feelings. Viewers feel it’s unfair to pay for a service and still be forced to watch so many ads. It spoils the fun and feels like a waste of money.
Now that Prime Video has started doing something similar, people are warning they might stop watching there too. They say it’s not about the money but about the experience. Watching something online is supposed to be smooth and without interruptions. That’s why they moved away from TV in the first place.
In all this, Netflix seems to be the only one still doing things right. Even though it’s a bit costly for some, people are happy to pay because it gives them an ad-free experience. And that’s what most viewers want. peace and entertainment, not ads every few minutes.
Streaming platforms need to understand that if they keep pushing ads on paid users, they’ll lose the trust and interest of their audience. Viewers are speaking up now, and they’re not afraid to switch off.

@PrimeVideoIN You already know we have not seen any shows of @MXPlayer because of Ads. We will not see any shows of #PrimeVideo if you show Ads. It will be an end of #amazonprime . All glory to #Netflix
