Amitabh Bachchan has dropped the official first look of his upcoming old-age drama, Uunchai, on his latest Instagram post. Apart from Big B, we have Anupam Kher and Boman Irani in lead roles. On top of that, the movie has been bankrolled by Rajshri Productions with Sooraj R. Barjatya at the helm. The production house is prominent for making family-friendly movies with loads of songs. Blockbusters like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, and Hum Saath-Saath Hain are the epitomes of this case. However, it seems like the production house wants to bestow an out-of-the-box movie-watching experience to the filmgoers with this one.
Amitabh Bachchan unveiled the first look of Uunchai on the occasion of Friendship Day today. We can also see Kher and Irani in the poster. The actor shared the poster with the caption:
“Celebrate #FriendshipDay with the first visual of our upcoming #Rajshri film #Uunchai. Join me, @anupamkher and @boman_irani on a journey that celebrates friendship. A film by @rajshrifilms and #SoorajBarjatya, @uunchaithemovie will be in a theatre near you on 11.11.22.”
Sooraj R. Barjatya is making his return to film direction after a long gap of seven years. His last project was Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor. The project turned out to be a blockbuster despite receiving mixed-to-negative critical reception.
In addition to the leading trio, viewers will see Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Nafisa Ali Sodhi, and Danny Denzongpa in the film via cameo appearances.
Rajshri Productions will complete 75 years in Bollywood this year. And Uunchai is its 60th project. Apart from Rajshri, the Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani starrer has been produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and Boundless Media. It will release in theatres on November 11. Stay tuned for more updates.
