Trailer for Dhanush’s upcoming coming-of-age action drama ‘Vaathi’ is out now and it’s one visual spectacle. Helmed by Venky Atluri, the bilingual film is titled as ‘Vaathi’ in Tamil and ‘Sir’ in Telugu and will release in theatres on 17th February, 2023.
‘Vaathi’ trailer gives an insight of the film’s theme that’s based on the prevalent education system in the country and the corruption ingrained deeply within it. The film puts spotlight on the education mafias and how the system is designed to exploit the poor and needy.
The trailer also shows that the film incorporates other genres like romance, drama, action, fun and much more too, thus making it a complete entertainer with a social message.
‘Vaathi’ is written and directed by Venky Atluri known for his films like ‘Tholi Prema’, ‘Mr. Majnu’ and ‘Rang De’. The action drama film stars Dhanush, Samyuktha Menon, P. Sai Kumar and Tanikella Bharani in prominent roles.
J. Yuvaraj and Naveen Nooli have handled the cinematography and editing for ‘Vaathi’ with music from G.V. Prakash Kumar. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. The production companies bankrolling ’Vaathi’ are Sithara Entertainment, Srikara Studios and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film will release in cinemas on 17th February and will be available on Netflix for streaming post theatrical run.
