Beloved Tamil actor Vadivelu will make a return to the movies after five long years, with his keenly awaited upcoming film ‘Naai Sekar Returns‘. The Tamil language film is a dark comedy, and the perfect comeback movie for Vadivelu. Though ‘Naai Sekar Returns’ was to release in theatres last week, on November 11, it missed its date with the cinemas. There’s still no clarity on the theatrical release date of ‘Naai Sekar Returns’.
But we at Binged have got you confirmed information on the OTT platform that has grabbed the streaming rights for ‘Naai Sekar Returns’. Streaming giant Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the Tamil comedy film. ‘Naai Sekar Returns’ will therefore stream on Netflix and on no other OTT platform.
‘Naai Sekar Returns’ is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, and written and directed by Suraj. Lyca Productions is presenting the film under its banner. The film stars Vadivelu in his comeback film, alongside Redin Kingsley, Shivangi, and Lollu Sabha Maaran, among others. Composer Santhosh Narayanan has given the music for ‘Naai Sekar Returns’. Dance maestro Prabhudeva has choreographed the songs in the film.
For those who don’t know, Naai Sekar is the name of Vadivelu’s character from his earlier Suraj-directed film, ‘Thalai Nagaram’ (2006). ‘Naai Sekar Returns’ is a spinoff film of ‘Thalai Nagaram’, and sees Vadivelu reprise his character from that film.
