Ajith’s Valimai opened to mixed reviews; but the film has gotten off to a sensational start at the box office. The film has reportedly collected as much as Rs 28 crores share in Tamil Nadu on its opening day, which is the second-best tally ever.
Now, let’s talk about the tentative OTT release date of the action thriller. Apparently, the chances are that Valimai will be arriving on ZEE Tamil on the 25th of March.
The idea is to release Valimai on OTT 4 weeks post its theatrical release, which has more or less become the new norm in South Indian cinema. But neither the makers of Valimai nor ZEE Tamil have commented about the OTT release date yet.
If Valimai does really arrive on ZEE Tamil on the 25th of March, it would mean that the Ajith starrer is landing on OTT much sooner than anticipated. But then, ZEE is never one for orchestrating early OTT releases. So, we can’t get our hopes up just yet.
Valimai is a big budget action thriller directed by H Vinoth. The film has Ajith, Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya, and others in the lead roles. The film hit the silver screens on the 24th of February.
