Team Varudu Kavalenu is starting a new trend of sorts with Aha Video’s new OTT show, Sarkaar. Naga Shaurya, Himaja, and Harika who played important roles in Varudu Kavalenu, along with the director of the film, Lakshmi Sowjanya took part in Sarkaar game show and a related promo was unveiled a short while back.
Up until now, popular TV shows like Bigg Boss Telugu and Cash used to serve as the platforms for the promotional campaigns of a few mainstream Telugu films. Now, possibly for the first time, an OTT show is setting the stage for a film’s promotional campaign. Team Varudu Kavalenu’s stint on Aha Video’s Sarkaar implies the same.
If the promo is to go by, team Varudu Kavalenu had a few conversations while taking part in the show. Shaurya and Himaja appear to be the proactive ones. Also, the promo implies that Sarkaar is some sort of a bidding-oriented game show.
As for Sarkaar, it is one of Aha Video’s flagship game shows that is being hosted by Pradeep Machiraju. The show-runners have reportedly engineered an intriguing set of tasks on the show and have also bought several mainstream Tollywood celebrities on board for the same. The show premieres on Aha Video on the 4th of November, the same day as Nandamuri Balakrishna’s celebrity talk show, Unstoppable.
Varudu Kavalenu is a love drama starring Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma in the lead roles. The film is directed by Lakshmi Sowjanya. It hit the silver screens on the 29th of October.
