Nadiadwala Grandson on March 30 announced their upcoming movie ‘Bawaal’ starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on 7th April 2023. It will be directed by the National award winner Nitesh Tiwari and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
It will be the second time they’re collaborating together after ‘Chhichhore’. Varun and Janhvi will also romance opposite each other for the first time on screen. Previously there were rumours brewing that Kiara Advani might star as the female lead but now Janhvi Kapoor has been roped in for the final cast. This movie also marks the third time that Varun is collaborating with Sajid Nadiadwala after ‘Dishoom’ and ‘Judwaa 2’.
Warda Khan S Nadiadwala and earthskynotes will co-produce it. As per some social media reports, the movie is a love story, showcasing a societal message with a blend of amusement. It will be based on the theme of ‘trophy-wife syndrome’ in which a man weds a woman for the sake of her beauty so that he can brag amongst his male gang.
Reports claims that Varun will feature as a small-town boy who falls in love with Janhvi, the most attractive girl in town. He makes efforts to please her thinking that one day he will marry her, as marrying a beautiful girl will raise his social standard.
So considering the previous works of the filmmaker that have created quite a stir, both critically and commercially, fans are quite sure that Nitesh Tiwari will once again depict his art beautifully on screen.
