Professionally known as Matthew Vaughn, the English filmmaker has produced numerous films including ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch’, and has also directed acclaimed titles like the Kingsman franchise, ‘Layer Cake’, ‘Stardust’, and ‘X-Men: First Class’.
We have some good news for his fans! Vaughn is back with a new directorial endeavor ‘Argylle’. Based on the widely popular debut thriller series by author ‘Elly Conway’, the film is all set to star big-shot names like Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, and Albanian singer Dua Lipa.
‘Conway’ is surprisingly not one person, but the pen name of two authors who published the series jointly – Terry Hayes and Tammy Cohen!
The intriguing plot revolves around reclusive author Elly Conway who writes best-selling espionage novels about a secret agent named Argylle who’s on a mission to bring down a global spy syndicate. However, when the plots of her books start to mirror the mysterious actions of a real-life spy organization, the line between fiction and reality begins to blur and all hell breaks loose!
With an incredibly promising premise set already, the film is almost ready-set-to-drop on Apple TV+ on April 12. For fans of captivating and gripping thrillers, this one seems to be a good potential option!
