The official Marvel film title for Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 is revealed, and Sony Pictures also reschedules the film’s release date. There are still two Spider-Man movies coming out this year from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, despite Madame Web’s dismal box revenue and negative reviews. Hardy’s Venom 3, which is scheduled for release in the autumn, will be the first property in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe to finish a trilogy, while Kraven the Hunter will be out in the summer.
According to insiders, Venom 3 will now be released in theaters on October 25 rather than November 8 and will officially be named Venom: The Last Dance by Sony Pictures. The cast of Venom: The Last Dance is still filming, so it’s unclear when Sony Pictures plans to release the first trailer at the time this piece is published.
The title of the film Venom: The Last Dance might indicate several things in this context given that it will be almost six months before it opens in theaters. Something like “The Last Dance” gives it a sense of closure and raises the possibility that this is Hardy’s last role as Eddie Brock/Venom.
It makes sense to name the third picture after something that seems like it completes the film series if this is Hardy’s last appearance as Eddie/Venom. It is possible, nevertheless, that Venom: The Last Dance represents something quite new and surprising. To offer fans a clearer sense of what to expect in the third episode, Sony Pictures should soon release the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance.
