Sony’s Columbia Pictures announced a new title for Venom 3 on Tuesday night. The threequel starring Tom Hardy has been officially titled “Venom: The Last Dance”. As expected, Marvel fans are unable to take this title seriously.
Fans went bonkers after Sony announced Venom 3’s new title. They have flooded the internet with creative and hilarious memes or posts about the threequel’s title. And it is so not their fault.
This situation has developed due to the current pathetic status of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). Apparently, the SSU has turned into a complete joke. Madame Web’s cataclysmic critical and financial failure turned out to be the last straw for Marvel fans. It is clear that Spider-Man fans are no longer interested in seeing the SSU projects. Fans have already ridiculed Jared Leto’s Morbius to the highest of levels. As for Madame Web, they have declared the Dakota Johnson starrer one of the worst superhero films of all time.
Before Morbius and Madame Web, the SSU had two Venom films, which were also critical failures. In other words, we can say that Sony’s Spider-Man franchise was doomed from the start. Which is why Marvel fans have every right to ridicule Venom: The Last Dance.
