The first look for the sequel for ‘Viduthalai’ has now been revealed. ‘Viduthalai Part 2’ comes from the acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Vetrimaaran.
‘Viduthalai’ came out in 2023 and was loved by critics and audiences equally. The movie will have Vijay Sethupathi in the leading role. In one poster Vijay Sethupathi is featured alongside Manju Warrier with a cycle in a quiet and beautiful farmland. The other poster shows Sethupathi in an angry and bloodied look with a huge dagger in his hands, that too in the farm, which does not look very calm.
The first movie told the story of Constable Kumaresan, played by Soori, who is recruited to go to the jungle and arrest a separatist leader Perumal, who is known for his antisocial crimes. Perumal is played by Sethupathi and the second part will deal with the story of his past.
The music of the film is given by the maestro Ilayaraja and the cinematography is handled by R Velraj. The movie is being produced under the banner of RS Infotainment. Soon there will be an announcement of the release.
Viduthalai 2 will also have Soori, and there will be actors like Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Chetan and Rajiv Menon as well. The screenplay has been written by Vetrimaaran and B. Jeyamohan and the story is based on the novel ‘Thunaivan’ by Jeyamohan himself.
