Teaser for Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film ‘Sam Bahadur’ is here and Vicky Kaushal shines bright as an army man once again. ‘Sam Bahadur’ will release in theatres on 1st December, 2023.
‘Sam Bahadur’ teaser shows how Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was a brilliant man who dedicated his whole life for the nation. With zero interest in politics of any kind, all that mattered to him was his role as a soldier fighting for his country. He is seen commanding and training young soldiers for the big war where there’s no turning back. The teaser also gives glimpses of Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh.
‘Sam Bahadur’ is inspired from the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian army during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. Beginning his career with service in the British Indian Army during the Second World War, Manekshaw had a long and reputed military career spanning four decades during which he was part of five major wars. He was also the first Indian army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
Vicky Kaushal has done phenomenal job in portraying our national heroes in his past films like ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and ‘Sardar Udham’ and now he is on to play the role of another such hero from the Indian army.
‘Sam Bahadur’ is directed by Meghna Gulzar (‘Talvar’, ‘Raazi’, ‘Chhapaak’) who has co-written the film with Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the titular role along with Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Neeraj Kabi among others.
Ronnie Screwvala has produced ‘Sam Bahadur’ under his RSVP Movies banner with the film slated for a theatrical release on 1st December, 2023.
