OTT is still an emerging space down the South. There are stars who even look down at it. But the attitude is changing fast and the stars are quickly catching with the OTT trend. Now, Victory Venkatesh may be the first Tollywood star to make his OTT debut.
Buzz is that Venkatesh has signed his first OTT project for Amazon Prime Video. C/O Kancharapalem fame Venkatesh Maha will direct this film. The young director has met Venkatesh recently and narrated the draft of the script convincing him.
Venkatesh Maha is just two films old in Telugu but already made a mark on the audience. He previously directed C/O Kancharapalem and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya. Both the films have been hit with the OTT audience big time. In fact, Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya is a direct Online release. During the COVID first wave, the movie has skipped its theatrical release and directly landed on Netflix.
We need to wait for the official announcement to know further details. Venkatesh Maha recently announced a film with Tollywood Senior Actor Rajasekhar. Meanwhile, Venkatesh is currently starring in F3. In all likelihood, the film will go on floors after they complete these commitments.
