Vidya Balan’s latest film ‘Neeyat’, which came out in July this year, is now available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.
‘Neeyat’ is a mystery thriller that was directed by filmmaker Anu Menon. Anu Menon is known for London, Paris, New York, Shakuntala Devi and other films. This was her second collaboration with Vidya Balan after the successful Shakuntala Devi.
It tells the story of a detective Mira Rao who has been given the task of investigating a murder committed in the birthday party of billionaire Ashish Kapoor. She has to proceed very carefully because all the suspects of the murder are Kapoor’s friends and family members and they all are powerful people.
Apart from Vidya Balan, the movie has a very strong supporting cast as well. It includes actors like Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi, Amrita Puri. The performances are top-notch. And the wonderful cinematography is handled by Andreas Neo. The music for the film is composed by Mickey McCleary.
‘Neeyat’ is a pretty decent thriller and it has got mixed to positive ratings. It did not do that well at the box office but it is actually a nice movie for a one time watch. If you missed watching it at the time of its release, now is your chance. It is now available to rent on Prime Video.
