Bhansali Studios Limited has announced its next film ‘Sher Singh Raana’ with Vidyut Jammwal set to star in the titular role. ‘Sher Singh Raana’ will be directed by ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ fame director Shree Narayan Singh.
The makers made the announcement on social media with a poster for the film and a picture of Vidyut Jammwal, Vinod Bhanushali and Shree Narayan Singh. ‘Sher Singh Raana’ is a biographical drama film about a man who undertook a dangerous journey to bring back the 800-year old pride of India – the ashes of Prithviraj Chauhan – from Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Sher Singh Raana is a politician who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2014 for the 2001 assassination case of Indian dacoit turned parliamentarian Phoolan Devi. He is also known for escaping from the highly secure Tihar Jail.
Shree Narayan Singh, known for films like ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ will helm ‘Sher Singh Raana’ with action star Vidyut Jammwal as lead actor. The film is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Vishal Gurnani, Vishal Tyagi and Mohammed Imran Khan. The production companies behind the film are Bhanushali Studios and Matargashti Films.
