Vijay Antony’s Tamil action thriller film ‘Pichaikkaran 2’ has finally got a release date. The much awaited sequel to his 2016 blockbuster film ‘Pichaikkaran’ is helmed by Vijay himself and will release on Tamil new year this year.
‘Pichaikkaran’ followed a billionaire who leads a 48-day long secret life as a beggar as part of a religious offering to save his mother. While the storyline for the sequel has been kept under wraps, Vijay announced ‘Pichaikkaran 2’ release date with a caption where he talks about a mass beggar from Dubai.
The film marks Vijay’s directorial debut that he has written alongside Paul Antony and K Palani. Apart from Vijay Antony, ‘Pichaikkaran 2’ stars Kavya Thapar, Dato Radha Ravi, , YG Mahendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Hareesh Peradi, John Vijay, Dev Gill and Yogi Babu among others.
Produced by Fatima Vijay Antony under the production banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation, ‘Pichaikkaran 2’ will release in cinemas in Tamil and Telugu on 14th April, 2023. Post theatrical run ‘Pichaikkaran 2’ will stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
