Liger is all geared up for its grand theatrical release on August 25. Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishnan, and Ronit Roy. The leading man is moving mountains to promote his upcoming project these days. Now, the actor has confirmed that the sequel of Liger will come out in future, even before the movie’s release.
On being asked if there will be a sequel to Liger in his recent interview with BollywoodLife.com, Deverakonda replied, “There will be most probably, yeah.”
That’s undoubtedly a bold statement from Deverakonda. The duo of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects has produced Liger with a staggering budget of 100-125 crores. The movie needs a strong start to emerge successful at the box office. Will it be able to do that? Or will it face the wrath of the so-called “boycott movement” due to the involvement of Ananya Pandey and Karan Johar? Only time will tell us.
Vijay also sang praises for Johar in his conversation, “I am very grateful to him for giving me this opportunity. Karan can thank me after the film releases because we will give him a blockbuster. I want this film to be huge as Karan has taken a terrific decision, and I want him to be happy with his decision.”
The cast of Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger consists of “The Baddest Man on the Planet”, Mike Tyson. The former American professional boxer has an extended cameo in the forthcoming sports action film. Stay tuned for more updates.
