With Rashmika Mandanna’s coming on board reveal yesterday on her birthday, team #Thalapathy66 announced the start of shooting for the film today.
The filming kick started with a pooja ceremony held in Chennai in the presence of the film’s cast and crew. Team #Thalapathy66 made the announcement on Twitter along with some pictures from the ceremony and wrote, “Elated to kick start the ambitious

The yet to be titled #Thalapathy66 is touted to be an action, comedy and drama filled family entertainer. The film is written and directed by National Award winning filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally who is known for his films like ‘Maharshi’, ‘Munna’, ‘Yevadu’, ‘Oopiri’ and more.
Apart from Rashmika joining #Thalapathy66, the makers also announced coming onboard of music composer S. Thaman yesterday. #Thalapathy66 is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish. Sri Venkateswara Creations is the banner bankrolling the film.
