After wowing audiences recently with its first look and title reveal poster, Vijay‘s keenly awaited film “Beast” again sparked the imagination of fans this evening. The official social media handles of Sun Pictures, the producers of Beast, posted short videos that revealed the additional cast of the film. The new cast members of Beast as announced today are a mix of young and upcoming talent, and established names.
Acclaimed director Selvaraghavan has come on board Beast, and will likely play the crucial role of an antagonist in the film. Fast rising Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko too is on board the Beast cast. He will reportedly play another antagonist in the film. Beast will mark his debut in Tamil films. Talented actor Ankur Ajit Vikal joins the cast of Beast. The predominantly Bollywood actor mostly appears in villainous roles. He will add his heft to the cast.
Tamil actors Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh, and Malayalam actress Aparna Das have been roped in to play supporting roles in the film. Bollywood veteran actor Lilliput has also joined the cast of Beast.
The inclusion of actress Pooja Hegde is already known since the beginning. She is playing the female lead opposite Vijay in Beast.
Vijay is playing a con agent in Beast. He will reportedly take on three antagonists in Beast, which are very likely to be Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko and Ankur Ajit Vikal. Of course, this is a bit of speculation on our part, cause there’s no official word from Sun Pictures as to the individual characters being played by the cast members.
Beast is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, while the young and talented Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music of the film. Two schedules of the film’s shoot have been completed as of now, with one of them taking place in Georgia.
