Vikrant Rona is roaring at the box office! It seems like fans do not care about the film’s mixed critical reception at all. And because of their immense love and support, the latest Kiccha Sudeep starrer has entered the prestigious 100-crore club. It achieved the milestone on Day 4. The movie collected 33-35 crores on the first day. And its Sunday collection of 25 crores aided the film in crossing the 100-crore benchmark.
One of the most loved performers in Sandalwood, Kiccha Sudeep, plays a cop named Vikrant Rona in the film. His character enters a small village after learning about the tale of the famous Bhoothnath Temple, a religious site haunted by the Brahmarakshas. Vikrant decides to unravel the truth and help the villagers in any possible way.
Praises have been directed at the film’s background score, performances, visuals, cinematography, production design, and action sequences. However, Anup Bhandari’s direction faced severe criticism. Additionally, the movie’s songs are considered a big disappointment.
Vikrant Rona is set to emerge as one of the highest-grossing South Indian movies of 2022. Another slap on Bollywood? Hell, yeah! Speaking of Bollywood, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan are ready to clash with each other on August 11. Plus, Bimbisara and Sita Ramam (both are Telugu language projects) will hit the theatres on August 5. All these movies are sure to give a tough fight to Sudeep’s latest release in terms of collections.
