If you’re looking to watch acting legend Viola Davis kick terrorists’ a**es in a sexy red dress with heels, then G20 is just the right movie for you. Thanks to Prime Video, we now have its first official trailer.
G20 follows President Taylor Sutton (Davis), who must protect her family and other world leaders from a group of dangerous terrorists attempting to take control of the G20 summit in Cape Town, South Africa.
The leader of the terrorists is Antony Starr, best known for playing Homelander in Prime Video’s The Boys. Alongside Davis and Starr, the film also stars Anthony Anderson, Ramon Rodriguez, Marsai Martin, Douglas Hodge, Sabrina Impacciatore, Elizabeth Marvel, and Clark Gregg.
The official logline of the film states that President Sutton must use her wits to protect her family, her country, and world leaders in a thrilling, action-packed story.
Patricia Riggen directs the film, which was written by Caitlin Parrish, Erica Weiss, Logan Miller, and Noah Miller. Andrew Lazar produces, alongside Viola Davis and Julius Tennon.
G20 doesn’t seem like a wildly novel or innovative concept, but its execution teases a lot of fun and entertainment for viewers.
Davis looks in fine form as the protagonist. If you’ve seen her in the DCEU projects and The Woman King, you know the woman can kick butt.
G20 will premiere on Prime Video on April 10. Here’s the new trailer. Enjoy!
