The cinematic cop universe is set to get another film dedicated to them but unlike most of the titles, you have already seen, this new announcement features an all-women team of officers. Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl’s Wakoo Films are set to make a film based on the supercops of Gujrat. The timing of this news is especially good keeping in mind that Women’s day is just around the corner. (8th March)
The film is set to go on floors in mid-2021. The film will be aimed at showcasing the bravery and valour of four women cops who caught a dreaded criminal in Gujarat. In 2019 four women cops namely Santok Odedra, Nitmika Gohil, Aruna Gameti and Shakuntla Mal were part of an all-women team that nabbed one of the most notorious criminals in the state. It is slated as one of the riskiest operations that were undertaken by the ATS.
Himanshu Shukla was the DIG of Gujarat’s Anti-Terrorism Squad who put these four women in charge of the mission. This film will be an ode to all the female warriors of the country who serve the nation despite all the personal and professional obstacles that they have to face in their life.
We all keep one day of the year to celebrate the special achievements of the women in the world. They have to fight special battles against the patriarchy, society, and the norms till this very date but most of them fight against it all with a smile on their face.
While we can give you an estimate of the story because it is based on real-life incidents, there is very little knowledge of this film in terms of casting or other news in general.
