‘Chakra’ starring Vishal and being helmed by debutant director MS Anandan has come under the scanner once again. ‘Chakra’‘ was all set for a theatrical release after having to go through so many ups and downs and the fans being in a state of constant flux as they were unsure as to where it would release.
After a lot of speculation and chaos, the makers finally decided that ‘Chakra’ would opt for a theatrical release. 19th February was set as the date for its release and while everyone was looking forward to this the high court has put a temporary stay on the film.
One source has reported that the reason for this temporary stay is that Vishal has still not paid the producers of his previous film ‘Action’ for the losses that were incurred for the project as he had promised them.
Different sources have reported different versions as few claim that a copyright violation has taken place and the producer insists that the script and story were wrongfully taken from him. While there may not be a lot of clarity on that front it is certain that ‘Chakra’ will not be in theatres on 19th February.
The film was initially supposed to release on 1st may 2020 but just like many other titles, it was forced to postpone its release due to the pandemic. Apart from Vishal, Shraddha Srinatha, Regina Cassandra, Robo Shankar are the other performers who will be portraying essential roles in this film.
Vishal is also the producer of this film and it feels like the troubles just keep mounting every day. ‘Chakra’ focuses on cyber Crime and its theme revolves around online scams and scammers..
