So, do you remember the green screen memes about Marvel and Disney films? Yes, practically that’s what happened when Vision was dying at the hands of Thanos, at least that is what Paul Bettany stated in a recent interview.
Through the years, Vision did gain some love from the fans and especially after WandaVision, fans started to be really interested in the character as they did see a very different side.
Now, Bettany, while talking about his death in Avengers: Infinity War, spilled some really interesting beans.
To build up such a character like Thanos, a massive death was necessary and the makers chose Vision. So, how did they prepare for the death you ask?
“It was hilarious. None of us knew who was gonna die until like the day before or something like that,” said Bettany. Later, Bettany then added, “They showed us a sort of pre-visualization of that and everybody was like, well, I guess I gotta take the kids out of private school,”
Then Bettany stated-
The Russo Brothers came up to us and said, “Hey, listen, can you just improvise this scene?” And I go, “What? Improvise being a robot getting killed?” I’ve got no frame of reference! And Lizzie was just laughing at it, and we’re so relaxed with each other that… I don’t know how it would’ve worked other than that, because we both really trust each other and, somehow, we got to something that worked.”
Indeed a hilarious incident for a big studio, but again, these are the events that make the whole experience more fun.
Besides that, some news is coming up that Vision might be returning to the universe which will obviously make the entire experience even better for the fans.
