Much promoted and talked about Voot Select’s London Files is now streaming on Voot. It starred Arjun Rampal in his intense avatar and was supposed to be thrilling, mysterious and even gritty.
But what it came out to be is not something too nice. It started on a really promising note but ended up being chaotic. Even though this series is not garnering any appreciable views and also major responses on Twitter. Amidst all these things which are failing Voot Select again, the makers have renewed it for the second season.
Meanwhile, fans have been waiting for the next season of Asur for years and they are unable to get any kind of update whatsoever from the platform.
The bigger question is, doesn’t Voot understand that elongating Asur for too long will help in nothing instead of killing the interest of people? On the contrary, what’s the point of investing more resources and efforts in a series which is not half as loved or promising as Asur?
Long story short, there seems to be something terribly wrong with Voot. In 2020 when the Indian OTT suddenly boomed, no one had any edge as strong as them. They were not only affordable but the home for India’s most loved series.
Yet, it is a classic example of how they destroyed their chance.
