The Pakistani film ‘Joyland’ by Saim Sadiq q will soon be streaming on Mubi India. The movie came out in 2022 and was the directorial debut of Saim Sadiq. It will be available to watch from December 1st.
The movie tells the story of Haider, who is from a not so well-off family and is looking for a job for a long time. He tells his family that he has got a job as a theater manager. But actually, Haider is working as a dancer in the theater. He works as an erotic dancer and cannot tell this to his family. He falls in love with Biba, a transwoman and their love story stirs up their world.
The movie stars actors like Ali Junejo, Rasti Farooq, Alina Khan, Sarwat Gilani, and Salmaan Peerzada. The performances are wonderful and all the departments of the movie are well executed. If you are a cinephile and do not want to miss out on any of the contemporary marvels in cinema, you should definitely watch ‘Joyland’.
The cinematography of the movie is handled by Joe Saade. And the music is given by Abdullah Siddiqui.
