There is one simple message in almost all superhero films, and that is, ‘There is a superhero in all of us’. The movie ‘Aranya Deb‘ is a film that deals with this message and goes deeper into it. Jisshu Sengupta can play all the negative and weak roles in Bollywood, but here in Aranya Deb he represents our desire of becoming a superhero someday. It is available to watch on Zee5.
The film tells the story of Aranya, a young man who works in a company and is not satisfied with the job. He believes that he is a superhero and wants to protect everybody from evil. Aranya does not understand why nobody believes him and is frustrated with everybody’s attitude towards him. His best friend Deb, on the other hand, who was a topper student and a great athlete, goes on to ride higher ladders of success and goes on a different path than expected. The two friends, who had promised to always be together in the journey of being superheroes, separate their ways in college and nothing stays the same.
The film is written and directed by Debasish Sen Sharma and has Jisshu Sengupta, Mir Afsar Ali, Sayoni Ghosh, Arunima Ghosh, Paran Bandyopadhyay in the cast. Jisshu gives a stellar performance and others do pretty well too. The movie came out in 2017 and had a good response from audiences and critics.
