‘Thai Cave Rescue‘ on the famous Tham Luang Cave Rescue incident of 2018 has been buzzing so hot since the day it released on Netflix worldwide. The show is doing extremely well for itself and never left the trends list of Netflix India too. Now, hardly two weeks after the release of the show Netflix unveiled its masterplan of dropping a documentary on the same. Titled ‘The Trapped 13 : How we Survived the Thai Cave‘, the documentary drops on Netflix on October 5,2022.
The end credits of Thai Cave Rescue introduces the real life brave boys and their onscreen counterparts as a perfect set-up towards the documentary. Members of the Thai youth soccer team look back and recount their stories of getting trapped in Tham Luang Cave in 2018, and the incredible survival story that followed in the documentary. Unlike the documentaries and shows that dropped before on the same incident, the Netflix documentary has direct access to the boys and their story.
Directed by Pailin Wedel, the documentary features interviews of the 13 boys, the rescue operation snippets etc. Thai Cave Rescue on the other hand is a 6-part limited series produced by Netflix, directed by Kevin Tancharoen and Nattawut Poonpiriya. It was released on September 22, 2022. Both the limited series and documentary makes for a perfect double-bill watch during upcoming holidays. Stay tuned for more updates.
